The American Heart Association has updated its guidelines to make Basic Life Support (CPR) and First Aid training more practical, realistic, and effective for real-life emergencies.

Key Guideline Updates

·        Cardiac arrest awareness has been updated to better reflect risks and response needs for women.

·        AED requirements have changed for both adults and children.

·        Infant hand placement guidance has been revised.

·        Adult choking response techniques have been updated.
